Erin has had a close relationship with photography for most of her life. As a child she knew exactly how a darkroom smelled and spent afternoons taking in the sites on set at her father's professional fashion photography studio. Growing up in New York City, she had consistent exposure to the arts and developed a curiosity for diverse cultures. Ever since studying abroad in Milan for a year and quitting her job on Wall Street to travel Asia solo for two months, she has been addicted to travel and the hunt for compelling images around the globe. In addition to impromptu photography sessions from her father, Maynard Switzer, Erin studied at the International Center of Photography in NYC. She is most inspired by the work of Alex Webb, Steve McCurry, Anne Menke, Paola & Murray, Amy Vitale, and George Steinmetz. Most recently, Erin was living in Buenos Aires.
